Description
Developed by ORA, the Black Snowflake Clownfish was created by breeding Black Ice Snowflakes with Black Ocellaris clownfish. This resulted in this beautiful fish. It has a black body with three white stripe like patterns. The stripes have a similar placement as a normal ocellaris clownfish, but they are irregular with divots, points, curves, and waves. When you first get your fish, it will probably have a lot of orange, but as it matures most, if not all, of the orange will turn black. There is a premium variant of this fish available with more extreme patterns. While the colors and patterns are mesmerizing, the care is simple and easy. Ocellaris clownfish are some of the hardiest marine fish available. This fish will readily accept most aquarium food. It gets along well with other fish. It can be kept in a pair or singly. As with most clownfish, the Black Snowflake Clownfish can be hosted by an anemone and looks even more stunning if done so.

More Information
While the Black Snowflake Clownfish is highly desirable for its incredible patterns, being captive-bred makes it an even better fish. This fish is ideal because of its increased hardiness and disease resilience. Captive-bred fish are also better adapted for aquarium life and better able to handle the stress of shipping than wild-caught fish. Purchasing captive-bred fish helps the ocean by discouraging the wild-caught trade and its harmful practices, making our hobby more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
