Get my Eco pods every six weeks auto shipped right on time. They all arrive alive from halfway across the country. My fish love them. Thank you very much.
Algaebarn is expensive already which kinda turns me off. I can only order certain times of the year due to temperature. This shipment and the last were extremely warm and the phyto i got with it smelled absolutely terrible. It was also extremely warm. I am only ordering, if i do again, in spring and fall. Summer and winter bring too many issues
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear about the shipping issues you experienced with your recent order. We understand that our products can be expensive, but please know that we strive to provide the highest quality and freshest items possible; and our jars contain thousands of nauplii.
We do have specific shipping guidelines in place to ensure that our products arrive in optimal condition, especially during extreme temperatures. However, we apologize if the phyto you received smelled off and was warm. We have an Alive on Arrival policy for instances like this, and we would be happy to make things right for you.
We are always here to assist and make sure you are completely satisfied with your order.
Thank you for your support and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.
To be completely honest there weren’t that many pods in each jar which was disappointing considering how expensive the jars are. However it does look like any of them died which is great
Basically, it was a delivery issue; they showed up in boiling water; even the ice packs were hot to the touch. Not warm, hot! But they did offer to replace them, so the second delivery showed up warm. Not sure how many of them were still alive, so I decided to just put them in the tank and hope for the best.
Hi there,
We are so sorry to hear about your experience with our Ecopods. We apologize deeply that the replacement order also arrived in poor condition. If you could please reach out to our customer support, we would be more than happy to get this taken care of for you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we appreciate your understanding.
I was extremely happy with the quality of the different pods I received. They were healthy, active, and have thrived. I dosed two jars of Ecopods directly into my 125g display tank and kept 2 jars in a nurse tank to introduce over time. I was surprised because you wouldn't think a couple jars would be noticed but the pods in the tank were clearly evident the next day and the fish are enjoying them thoroughly. There were just that many active pods in the shipment. The others are remaining healthy and reproducing in the nurse tank to be added when I need. Algae Barn is my go to source for pods because they have repeatedly outperformed other sources when I mistakenly think I should try somewhere else. I also received Tisbee and Galaxy pods with this order that did equally well. I highly recommend Algae Barn.
