Description
ORA Stellar Stylophora
For sure, this is an interesting SPS coral in general and stylo in particular. ORA has been working with the strain since originally obtaining specimens from Julian Sprung in 2014. The ORA Stellar Stylophora has the usual graceful, curvy stylo shape albeit with some very pretty coloration. The colors themselves are quite variable (though always nice), depending upon aquarium conditions–so each frag grows into a unique colony! The base color ranges from pink to peach, red, fuchsia or purple. This is dotted with bright blue polyps. Branches are very thick and stubby, growing in clusters. The ORA Stellar Stylophora is best kept at middle-top tank level under medium-high lighting and moderate-strong water flow.

The Benefits of Farmed Stellar Stylophora
Because they are cultured in under aquarium conditions, captive-bred corals offer multiple advantages over wild-caught specimens. They tend to be more disease resistant and harbor fewer pests. And, they are more capable of handling shipping/acclimation stress! By purchasing captive-bred stylos, you support the aquaculture of marine organisms and help to make our hobby more sustainable.
