Description
The Stubby Ocellaris from ORA has the same coloration and pattern as a normal ocellaris clownfish but with the appearance of a heavier build. They have the same bright orange bodies and bold white stripes. Their bodies are simply more compact than normal ocellaris clownfish. There is a wide range of different adult sizes, but they all have that same plump, rounded look. If you are looking for a fish that looks like Nemo, the Stubby Ocellaris is more similar than a normal ocellaris. Although they have different body proportions, they are just as easy to care for as normal ocellaris clownfish. Stubbies eat a wide range of different aquarium foods and are quite hardy. They get along well with other aquarium fish and will not bother corals or crustaceans. You can keep these adorable fish in pairs with each other or other with another ocellaris clownfish variant. However, an adult part together is especially beautiful. They can be hosted by anemones as well.

More Information
Captive-bred fish such as this Stubby Ocellaris have more advantages other than just looks. They are hardier and more resilient to disease than wild-caught clownfish. Fish from ORA are far less likely to carry diseases than fish from the ocean. To top it off, captive-bred fish are better adapted to aquarium life and better able to handle the stress of shipping. Along with the benefits to you and your aquarium are benefits for the ocean. Purchasing captive-bred fish discourages the wild-caught trade, which harms the ocean with its methods of collection. Supporting the captive-bred industry instead helps make our hobby more sustainable.
