Description
The Mocha Gladiator Clownfish is a cross between a Wyoming White or Gladiator Ocellaris and a Black Ocellaris. From the Gladiator Clownfish it gets swooping white stripes. From the Black Ocellaris it gets its toasted orange coloration. This combination creates an overall crisp looking fish. The exact coloration and pattern varies from fish to fish, meaning that each is a one of a kind. Despite being a designer clownfish, it is just as easy to care for as other ocellaris clownfish (if not easier because it is captive-bred.) It readily accepts a wide range of aquarium foods and is extremely hardy. The Mocha Gladiator is peaceful with other tank mates and does not harm corals or crustaceans. You can keep a pair of two Mocha Gladiators or pair one with any other ocellaris variant. This fish can be hosted by an anemone as well. Because this fish is a designer fish from ORA, it does not come from the ocean nor does it have an ocean counterpart.

More information
While designer clownfish are incredible for their patterns and colors, there are other benefits that come with them because they are captive-bred. Captive-bred clownfish are hardier and more resilient to disease than wild-caught clownfish. They are far less likely to carry a disease from ORA than the ocean. With that, you get a fish that is better able to handle the stress of shipping and better adapted for aquarium life. By purchasing captive-bred fish such as this Mocha Gladiator Clownfish, you are helping the ocean by discouraging the harmful wild-caught trade and instead supporting the captive-bred industry. This helps make our wonderful hobby more sustainable.
