Description
Misbar Percula Clownfish have the same coloration as a normal Percula clownfish but with a disconnected stripe. Their bodies are a bright, light orange with white stripes. As they grow older, a thick black coloration develops around the stripes and between them. Young Perculas usually have very little if any black at all. This is a fun characteristic with perculas. Misbar clownfish are mutations that happen during captive-breeding. Usually, the fish is missing its caudal stripe or has an incomplete center strip and potentially an incomplete head stripe as well. These fish are captive-bred which is great news for you and the ocean. Despite being a designer clownfish, they are just as easy to care for as other percula clownfish. It is easier when compared to wild-caught clownfish. They are great for being hosted by anemones and can be kept in pairs. They can be somewhat aggressive, especially when compared with ocellaris clownfish. It’s nothing to worry too much about, but rather something to be aware of. If you are worried about them picking on shy fish, you can add them after the shy fish to decrease territorial aggression.

More Information
Because these fish are captive-bred, they are hardier, more disease resilient, and better able to handle the stress of shipping. They are also more adapted to aquarium life. By purchasing captive-bred fish, you are discouraging the harmful wild-caught trade while promoting the captive-bred industry, making our wonderful hobby more sustainable.
