ORA Scripps Green Tip Stag
Sure, slow coral growth is a good thing sometimes–for example, when we pack a frag into a tight spot and don’t want to have to prune it every weekend. But for the most part, whether a total newbie or a seasoned coral farmer, we all appreciate fast growth. The Scripps Green Tip Staghorn coral from ORA is a great example of a prolific Acropora. An especially fast grower, this coral can develop into a nice big colony in no time! It’s not bad looking either, with its highly branching form and golden apple green base color. In some cases, the base color can verge toward a purplish hue, especially near the tips.
Much like other staghorns, the ORA Scripps Green Tip Stag is a hardy and adaptable coral when provided with good water quality, brighter illumination and plenty of water movement. It may be placed at any tank level with medium-high light intensity and moderate-strong water flow.

The Benefits of Farmed Scripps Green Tip Stag

Because it is cultured in captivity, it is better adapted to living in an aquarium, tends to be more disease resistant and harbors fewer pests. It is also better able to handle shipping/acclimation stress! By purchasing captive-bred Scripps Green Tip Stag acros, you support the aquaculture of marine organisms and help to make our hobby more sustainable.
