ORA Australian Delicate Acropora
Slender, branchy coral colony shapes have an appealing “airy” look and create naturally well-suited hiding space for small skittish fishes such as cardinals, chromis, etc. The ORA Australian Delicate is a highly fine-branched Acropora sp. strain. It strongly resembles many coveted deepwater varieties (such as A. echinata) with its smooth, tubular branches and corallites. And it only gets more majestic with growth! This strain isn’t just known for its beautiful shape; these examples from ORA feature neon green polyps and lavender branch tips that pop over an earthy golden tan base color. This acro can be placed in lower-middle levels of the tank under medium-high lighting with moderate-strong water currents.

The Benefits of Farmed Australian Delicate Acropora
Captive-bred corals offer significant advantages over wild specimens. Because they are cultured in captivity, they are better adapted to living in an aquarium; they tend to be more disease resistant and harbor fewer pests. They are also better capable of handling shipping/acclimation stress! By purchasing captive-bred Australian Delicate acros, you support the aquaculture of marine organisms and help to make our hobby more sustainable.
