Beautiful and exotic yet hardy and easy to care for, corallimorpharians never fail to please; the Green Hairy Rug Mushroom variety is no exception. This time-tested variety is a shaggy-tentacled Rhodactis that looks great in either daylight and actinic lighting. Its multishades of greens (lime green to forest green with psychedelic hints of blue and purple) lend a very warm and natural hue to the aquascape. These fast-growing mushrooms do well under most conditions; thus, a single polyp such as this can grow into many very quickly.

Green Hairy Rug (Rhodactis sp.) Species Information

This species is similar to other members of the genus Rhodactis. It occurs in the Indo-Pacific Ocean, often in marginal areas such as calmer, dimmer waters or in shaded/sheltered intertidal rubble patches. Reproduction takes place primarily through pedal laceration (splitting at the foot).
