Description
The Hail Storm Clownfish has a mostly pristine white body. There are irregular patches of black or brown. Some of the patches are little dots while others are elongated or oval shaped. The neat thing about designer clownfish such as this one is that no one specimen is the same. The size, amount, and location of the spots varies greatly. The fish you get will be unique to your aquarium! Although the Hail Storm Clownfish has a unique appearance, its care requirements are what you would expect from any other captive-bred ocellaris clownfish. It is extremely hardy and easy to care for. It is tolerant to lots of tank parameters. This fish will eat about any kinds of aquarium food from frozen to pellets to flakes. It also gets along well with other fish as long as they are not other clownfish. If you want to keep other clownfish, it is recommended that you keep them in a pair. Some hobbyists have kept a group of clownfish successfully, but that is not recommended for most aquariums. Like other clownfish, the Hail Storm Clownfish can be hosted by several anemone species, but an anemone is not required.

More Information
Like other captive-bred fish, the Hail Storm Clownfish is well adapted to aquarium life and does well with shipping. Although there is no wild variant of Hail Storm Clownfish, they are hardier than wild ocellaris clownfish. Captive-bred clownfish are more resilient to disease and less likely to carry disease in the first place. Purchasing captive-bred fish helps the ocean by discouraging wild collection, which often involves using cyanide to stun fish. Buying captive-bred fish ensures high quality fish for your aquarium, and it makes our hobby more sustainable.
