Description
The Premium Gladiator Clownfish is the offspring of Gladiator Clownfish with the most unique patterns. This resulted in a fish with a curving variety of orange and white that appears to be carefully painted on. That is probably why the fish is often called a DaVinci Clownfish by some hobbyists. This fish is sometimes referred to as a Fancy Ocellaris as well. There is a wide range of variety from specimen to specimen, so no two fish are alike. Some have more clear stripes while others are mostly white with spots of orange here and there. Some specimens have a helmet like pattern around the head, which is particularly interesting and enjoyable. Although this is a high-end designer clownfish, it is just as easy to care for as any other ocellaris clownfish. It is peaceful with other tank mates. It can be kept and pairs and can be hosted by an anemone. The Premium Gladiator Clownfish will eat a wide range of foods and is extremely hardy.

More Information
Although there are no wild counterparts of this fish, there are still benefits to buying captive-bred clownfish over wild-caught ones. Aside from getting unique patterns, captive-bred clownfish are hardier and more resilient to disease than wild-caught clownfish. They are also far less likely to carry disease from ORA than the ocean. With that, you are getting a fish that is better adapted to aquarium life and better able to handle the stress of shipping. Buying captive-bred fish benefits the ocean by discourages the destructive wild-caught trade. This supports the captive-bred industry and makes our hobby more sustainable.
