Description
The GoldXLightning Maroon Clownfish has a similar design and pattern to a normal Lightning Maroon Clownfish. There are some grade distinctions that ORA has been able to pick out. Some specimens have almost fully white flanks, while others are more disconnected. They have also noticed that some specimens are more symmetrical on each side. There is no guarantee that a specimen will develop the desired gold hue, but it is possible. Either way, these are beautiful Maroon Clownfish specimens that are a prize to have. This fish has the same spirited, aggressive nature that other Maroons have. To avoid issues with aggression and territory, add the fish last or close to last. Maroons are also one of the largest clownfish species. They look great in anemones and can be paired.
Some things to note: these fish are highly sensitive to copper, so do not dose any copper when quarantining. Also, do not use a net to move it because its cheek spines will get entangled.

More Information
Because this fish is captive-bred by ORA, it is hardier and more resilient to disease. It is also far less likely to carry disease from ORA than the ocean. Captive-bred fish are better adapted to aquarium life and better able to handle the stress of shipping. By purchasing captive-bred fish, you are helping the ocean by hindering the wild-caught trade and supporting the captive-bred industry. This helps make our beautiful hobby more sustainable.
