Description
The Black Ice Snowflake Clownfish was the result of breeding a Black Ocellaris and a Snowflake. This pair was bred in an attempt to create a Black Ocellaris with snowflake patterns. Although this fish was not made on purpose, ORA has continued to breed Black Ice Snowflakes because of their high popularity. This fish has a toasted orange base with large white portions with irregular patterns. The white and the fins are outlined in thick black that makes the orange and white pop out. The coloration and pattern is simply spectacular. The care for this fish is, of course, easy and simple. Other than its designer pattern and colors, the Black Ice Snowflake is a normal ocellaris clownfish. It accepts almost any aquarium food. It is hardy and peaceful. This fish will not bother corals or inverts. It can be kept in a pair or singly. It is also possible to have it hosted by an anemone. Its easy care requirements make it a great beginner fish, and its entrancing colors make it great for advanced hobbyists as well.

More Information
Because this Black Ice Snowflake Clownfish is captive-bred by ORA, it has an increased tolerance to parameter fluctuations and resilience to disease. Captive-bred fish are less likely to carry disease into your tank than wild-caught fish. They are also better able to handle the stress of shipping and better adapted for aquarium life. Purchasing these fish helps the ocean by discouraging the wild-caught trade and its harmful practices while supporting the captive-bred industry instead. This makes our hobby more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
