Description
What does Fritz FixIck do?
When it comes to many aquarium fish parasite treatments, the cure can truly be worse than the disease. Fritz FixIck is a gentler means of treating deadly external parasites such as Cryptocaryon (marine ick), Chilodonella, Trichodina and Tetrahymena. Owing to its additional antibacterial and antifungal properties, it also helps to prevent secondary infections without additional medications. FixIck treatment is easy to use, effective and safe in a quarantine or fish-only tank (both freshwater and saltwater). Unlike so many other medications, this game-changing product does not contain harsh copper, formaldehyde or malachite green-based substances which can cause additional stress, injury and even and death. The primary active ingredient in Fritz FixIck is gentian violet (this is where the product gets its characteristic purple color). It is not reef-safe. Excellent treatment and pretreatment for external parasites (epecially protozoan), particularly while conditioning delicate fish species. The most significant benefits of Fritz FixIck are as follows:
1. It does not contain harmful chemicals.
2. It is extremely effective.
3. It works fast, especially with stubborn marine ick.
4. It is economical enough to be used for large-scale quarantine.
5. It’s made right here in the USA.
Directions and Usage
Remove all chemical filtration such as activated carbon and turn off protein skimmers before use. Before dosing, increase the water temperature to 82-85°F (this accelerates the life cycle of the parasites and thus increases its exposure to the medication). Do not perform water changes during treatment if possible (if water changes are necessary, treat replacement water with FixIck). Shake bottle well before each dose.
Day 1: Add 5 drops per gallon.
Day 2: Add 5 drops per gallon.
Day 3: Perform a 25 to 30% water change.
Day 4: Add 5 drops per gallon.
Day 5: Add 5 drops per gallon.
Day 6: Perform a 25 to 30% water change.
FixIck treatment lasts six days. Feed fish lightly during treatment. Perform a second six-day course of treatment if necessary. If symptoms have disappeared, replace the chemical filtration and resume use of protein skimmers and adjust temperature back to normal.
