ORA Green Birdsnest

This extremely distinctive coral’s trade name hardly does it real justice. Its colors are unforgettable; they are somewhat variable, but are generally expressed as bright emerald green polyps that pop over an earthy tan-olive base color. The base may darken to an almost black color, making the polyps stand out even more. To say that this strain fluoresces well under higher Kelvin bulbs is an understatement; many describe it glowing. It is said to “hold its color” well. And fabulous coloration isn’t the only attribute that makes this one of the most popular birdsnest corals ever; it is also extraordinarily hardy. It exhibits fast growth under a variety of conditions (even lower light levels). Even it cases where it may be subjected to stress or physical damage, it typically recovers in short time. The ORA Green Birdsnest is best placed at bottom-middle tank height with low-high light levels moderate-strong water flow.
