Large porosity ceramic biomedia disks. They exhibit exceptionally compressive strength and can even withstand over 25 PSI of pressure (most people can stand on them without them crushing! We don’t recommend trying this though). At approximately 90% void space, your microfauna such as copepods, mysids, and amphipods will love to call the REFUGE ROUNDS home! The large pore (this item) is an exceptional home for the larger members species of pods, specifically Amphipods.

Each disk is approximately 76mm(3″) in diameter and 21mm thick or slightly over 7/8″.

Description

Usage Instructions  

  • Rinse with RODI or seawater before using to remove any dust generated during transit.

  • Media may be placed in a medium or low flow area of the sump or refugium. We do not recommend placing media directly in a high flow path such as directly under a drain pipe of a Display Tank-Sump combination. Placement under filter socks is typically acceptable.

  • The flow intensity of a media chamber in All-in-one (AIO) aquariums is acceptable.
